These two exciting new gowns just arrived from Pronovias...we had to share them!

Blush has been invited to Pronovias's incredible fashion show in Barcelona this year, and we're starting to get really excited! They put on an amazing event, and we can't wait to see the dresses on and order our beauties fresh off the runway.

Some of the fresh new colours in bridal fashion this year include “Silk Pink,” “Baby “Blue,” and our new favorite: “Bohemian Gold.” This trend also happens to be coming from one of our favorite haute designers, Martina Liana.

New to the fast-growing 2010 bridal collection at Blush are four gorgeous gowns from Martina’s stunning line, all in silk. All gowns by Martina Liana include top-quality textiles and luxurious fabrics and each gown is superbly unique. 

One of our favourites is a spectacular two-piece (above photo) – a beautiful silk cocktail wedding gown with matching silk skirt. We have this dress in the soft and subtle “Silk Pink” version and it is tres sweet, but it also comes in “Cloud of Cotton Candy,” which is getting a lot of attention this year! The two-piece gown is flirty, versatile…perfect for that cocktail/lounge reception and a pair of cute heels. For those with a fun personality and a serious shoe fetish, it migh just be the perfect fit. 

Another favourite is this stunning sheath dress which offers a slim fit, unique neckline, and a lightweight drape. We love the crystal embellishments on the delicate spaghetti straps. And yes, we do have this one in “Bohemian Gold” (as pictured above). This gown is already making a big impression on the non-traditional bride -- it truly is a breathtaking statement for those who want something a little different from the rest.

Just a little note to say "thank-you" for visiting our booth at Bridal Fair on Sunday. It was wonderful to see the familiar faces of our Blush customers, as well as meet many lovely new brides. We hope you enjoyed the event!

We’ve just had the pleasure of ripping through (er, I mean gently unwrapping) several new boxes from our beloved Pronovias and La Sposa. The new collection of 2010 gowns hailing from Spain are quite possibly some of the most stunning dresses we’ve ever seen, perfect for brides who value grace, elegance, and couture design.

Our top picks include Mistico, Megan, and Medina (pictured here). The Pronovias collection is always so exciting to order, and we’d put together an amazing list but were torn between two styles. In the end, we called in our bridal expert, Lydia, to make the call. She went with Mistico, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Medina is (dare I say it?) Diamante’s new rival. We have this lovely gown in a rich golden ivory and we love the soft pick-ups and stunning skirt. Those of you who like the luxurious feel of shimmer satin and the look of a tight-fitting bodice will absolutely adore this magnificent gown!  

Another new favorite is a one-shoulder-strap beauty in a slim empire shape with a high train. With simple lines, a ‘feel goddess’ silk chiffon, and silver and pewter accents that weave together an exquisite design across the ruffled shoulder strap, this beachy number is first in line for a destination wedding. It also boasts a very flattering bust line that gives generously to the smaller-chested yet offers full support for a larger bust. Swing by the store to check it out!
