Open During Construction

It’s time for a makeover! From December 5-9, Blush will be beautified! During these dates, we’ll be open in our Studio (located in the same building as Blush- you’ll see us as soon as you walk in the building) and ready to help you find the dress of your dreams. We’re slightly limited for space, so if you’re planning a visit during these dates, we encourage you to book an appointment via email or phone.

So don’t be deterred by the papered windows, or the sound of drywall being cut and new fixtures being mounted (ah, the sounds of progress..). The new Blush will be lovely, and the original Blush will still be in action… we look forward to seeing you!

FAQ Friday

Q: “How far in advance should I order my wedding dress?” Krysten, Wedding August 2012

A: Generally speaking, we recommend placing your order at least 6 months prior to your wedding date. In order to aviod close timelines, we encourage this timeline as it allows 4-5 months for delivery plus time for alterations (ideally 6-8 weeks). We store your dress here as part of our service and it will be here waiting for you when you are ready to start your fittings-  so it’s never to early to fall in love and make your dress officially yours!

If you don’t have 6 months left before your wedding, there are options to rush the dress from our designers for an additional fee. In addition, at Blush we keep a fantastic selection of dresses that don’t need to be ordered- they’re available off the rack, and we have our own in-house seamstress to make it fit like a dream!

A couple other things to consider…

Prices change, and collections change. If you’ve found a dress and you love it, you should be aware that the manufacturer can discontinue a style at any time (even new collections!) and prices are constantly changing to reflect increased manufacturing and shipping costs.

DIY Tuesday

Wedding lights! A great way to reuse assorted glass vessels- just cover them with lace (or twine)! How beautiful would these be at night? We couldn’t find the source of this great idea (sorry!), but think the photo will inspire you…

Congratulations Mary & David!

It’s a girl!

Blush would like to welcome sweet baby Jane to this world, born to proud parents Mary & David on Mary’s due date, November 2, 2011. Oh, how lucky Sweet Jane is to have such loving & creative parents, and to be the newest addition to the Blush family… we can’t wait to snuggle her and dress her up in little Blush tutus!

FAQ Friday

Q: “Do you do alterations on dresses that aren’t from Blush?” Gina, Wedding May 2012

A: Currently, we do accept wedding gowns for alterations that are not from Blush. During our busiest months (May-September) we do prioritize Blush Brides, however if we’re able to accept outside gowns, we generally will. The best thing to do is simply calla and ask, and we’ll do our best to help out!
