We’re extra sweet on Sooke Habour House today, after they dropped by with some promotional material for our brides & a lovely little surprise for us- homemade jam! Savoured this morning on a Mt. Royal bagel, this sweet preserve reminds us what we’ve know all along- Sooke Harbour House is outstanding. Renowned for is location, hospitality, ambience, and one of Canada’s best restaurants, SHH is perfect place to be wed.

My parents took me to for a Valentine’s Day dinner at Sooke Harbour House back when I was a bachelorette (pre-Blush dress). It was a lovely date, and so sweet of my folks. So perfectly west coast- a gorgeous view, candlelight, free flowing wine, fabulous service and a very memorable meal. It’s time to make another date…

And of course, Octavia makes our pink heart list for her gorgeous and superbly glitzy hand-beaded silk gown. What a comeback year for sleeves!

Kristen Wigg- we love her look so much, and what’s even sweeter is that we have the sister dress at Blush (Pronovias… love it!). The color is subdued, and oh-so feminine.

Oh Gwyneth, how you rocked this sleek ivory column dress by Tom Ford. Bringing back the sleeve, and proving that ivory is not just for brides. She looks so fresh.

And Emma Stone, you have made us love red in a big, big way. Mature, yes. Stunning, absolutely.

And a nod (swoon) to our favorite celebrity new mom: Penelope Cruz. We are celebrating the return of the modest sleeve… a 1940′s look that is positively overdue, and irresistible.

We’re crazy in love with Martina Liana’s newest silk gown. Such perfect lines, light & luminous. And the sash is amazing… silk with a delicate layer of lace. Definitely this week’s dress crush!

We’d like to introduce you to Victoria’s newest paper company, Tuktu Paper Co. Tuktu specializes in wedding invitations (!), holiday & birthday cards, personalized stationary, artwork & prints. All of the good stuff.

Of course, our first love will always be wedding gowns. But paper goods are a close second, and we think Tuktu is lovely!

Blush is heading up island for the Old House Village Hotel & Spa Wedding Show in Courtenay on Saturday March 3. We’re so pleased to be a part of this event, and positively delighted to be bringing a collection of dresses for you to fall in love with- and purchase on site! That’s right… we’ll be bringing a collection of dresses to you- a Trunk Show!It will be our first ever road trip with dresses, so needless to say we’re pretty excited.

You can register in advance for free admission. And if you’re coming to visit and would like us to bring something specifically for you, please email us before March 1st! We love road trips… and we love our island brides!
