We’d like to introduce you to Victoria’s newest paper company, Tuktu Paper Co. Tuktu specializes in wedding invitations (!), holiday & birthday cards, personalized stationary, artwork & prints. All of the good stuff.
Of course, our first love will always be wedding gowns. But paper goods are a close second, and we think Tuktu is lovely!

Blush is heading up island for the Old House Village Hotel & Spa Wedding Show in Courtenay on Saturday March 3. We’re so pleased to be a part of this event, and positively delighted to be bringing a collection of dresses for you to fall in love with- and purchase on site! That’s right… we’ll be bringing a collection of dresses to you- a Trunk Show!It will be our first ever road trip with dresses, so needless to say we’re pretty excited.
You can register in advance for free admission. And if you’re coming to visit and would like us to bring something specifically for you, please email us before March 1st! We love road trips… and we love our island brides!
Blush will be open regular Saturday hours (10-5) on March 3, so if you’re Victoria, we’d love to see you

Diary of a Blushie, Part I
While I never expected to work in a bridal shop, but I’ve come to discover that wedding dresses (and brides!) are truly amazing. There is so much care taken in the structure, shape, and design of a dress. You will never have a garmet that fits you as well as your wedding dress does. There’s also so much variety in the style of a wedding dress—we can work with you to find what suits your personality and lets your beauty shine through.
There are a few phrases that make specific dresses come to my mind instantly.
If a bride says to me, “I love a huge skirt” I might show her one of my favourites from Pronovias:
If I am told, “I want to be original,” I might show her our new Enzoani:
If I am told, “I want something sweet and simple,” I would show her this lovely sweetheart neckline by Ella:
So you can see why I enjoy playing dress-up all day, putting women in clothing that makes them beam, blush, and cry.
At Blush we indulge in the feminine: the shop smells of lavender, there’s more silk, tulle and lace than you could imagine in one place, and vanities line the walls showing off sparkly jewels. Searching for your wedding dress is a fully assisted experience (I can do up corsets in my sleep), and your consultant is fully committed to making sure you’ve seen all your options. I often find myself wishing all shopping could be so easy!
